Professional Experience

Xingxin Yu received her PhD in organic chemistry from Fudan University and an Excellent Graduate of Shanghai Municipality in June 2012. Then she carried out her post-doctoral research on small molecule lung cancer inhibitors at University of Minnesota. In August 2013, she joined the School of Pharmacy, ECUST, where her research interests focus on construction of diverse natural product-like small molecule compounds for drug candidates study. She was promoted to associate professor and appointed as a master's supervisor in 2015.

As the project leader, she presided over the National Natural Science Foundation (Youth Foundation) and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities (2 funds). She was selected into the Shanghai Pujiang Talents Program and the first batch of Shanghai Yangfan Program in 2014. And she was awarded the backbone of "young talents introduction and cultivation program at ECUST" and "outstanding young teacher at school of pharmacy" in 2015.

She has co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed SCI papers, with more than 1000 citations and an H index of 22. And she is co-inventor of an authorized Chinese patent.

Research Interests

Design and synthesis of novel heterocyclic compounds based on new technologies, new methods and new reactions, to construct bioactive natural product-like small molecule compounds for innovative drug research.
